Resilient Calgary Comes Together To Make 2013 Stampede A Success
They say that only in times of adversity that the character of a community is truly shown.
If this is the case, then Calgary must be admired for the way its communities have come together to help people quickly get back on their feet after the devastating floods that occurred only a few weeks ago. In fact, taking in the spectacle that is the Calgary Stampede last week, visitors would have been hard pressed to see any evidence that the area had recently been under feet of water.
With this amazing story as the backdrop, ZE PowerGroup Inc (ZE) and Argus Media hosted our wonderful Calgary Stampede Reception under clear blue skies on the rooftop patio at West’s Bar and Restaurant on Thursday last week. We were delighted to see more than 150 people turning out for this occasion.
Hundreds of attendees from organizations across the full spectrum of the energy and commodity markets joined us to network, share ideas and stories and soak up the excitement of the stampede. Everyone was determined that, “come hell or high water,” nothing was going to deter them from carrying on and making the stampede a success.
Calgary is second in importance only to Houston as an energy business hub, but during the past few weeks it showed it plays second fiddle to no-one when it comes to getting back to business and helping people in need.
ZE and Argus Media would like to thank everyone who turned out at our event and look forward to hosting another enjoyable get-together at next year’s event.
